Emergency Surgery

Trained surgeons are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any emergency surgery that your pet may require.
Pets that have been injured by cars or falls, have gastrointestinal emergencies (intestinal blockage or twisted stomach), have acute disorders of the abdomen or chest (uncontrolled hemorrhage, splenic torsion, entrapping hernia), are having difficulty giving birth (dystocia) or other emergencies of the reproductive tract (pyometra, testicular torsion) can be treated any time/round-the-clock.

Fortunately, most emergencies can and should undergo initial medical treatment (IV fluids, antibiotics) prior to surgery.

For those patients that cannot be treated more conservatively and/or have been medically stabilized, surgeons are on-call to assess your pet and surgically treat life-threatening disorders. Once the procedure is complete, our 24-hour, fully functional hospital of trained doctors and nurses are continuously available/present to ensure proper monitoring and intensive care of your recovering pet.
