We Are Pleased to Announce...
Tim Cutler MVB, MS, DACVO, DACVIM has returned to south Florida and is accepting appointments at Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists for patients requiring medical and surgical management of ophthalmic disorders. Many of you will remember Dr. Cutler’s previous work in this area and have developed a regard for his knowledge and expertise in the discipline of ophthalmology. Dr. Cutler received his veterinary degree from the Veterinary College of Ireland in Dublin and subsequently completed his advanced training at the University of Florida. This included a Master’s degree in equine neurology as well as residencies in Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Cutler brings with him a full complement of surgical and specialized ophthalmic equipment to include electroretinogram (ERG) and phacoemulsification units, an operating microscope and laser. Our 24-hour, 7 day a week Emergency Service can readily admit ophthalmic emergencies for Dr. Cutler’s immediate, after-hours evaluation. This service can also assist in managing his postoperative patients that need overnight or weekend care. He also performs CERF examinations and offers this at no charge to active service dogs. Dr. Cutler’s skill and compassion are second to none and he is a great addition to our staff.
We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Kersten Johnson is returning to our Neurology Department after a hiatus for the birth of her son. You also may remember Dr. Johnson who brings proven expertise in the discipline of neurology. In addition, she has broad experience in cross-sectional imaging to include CT and high-field magnet MRI. Both of these modalities are performed locally using equipment that produces high-resolution two-dimensional and three-dimensional reconstructions of imaged anatomy. She also has electrodiagnostic equipment capable of performing electromyogram (EMG) and brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) testing. With her skill and this wide array of equipment we are able to offer both comprehensive diagnostics and case management for your patients with neurological and neuromuscular disorders.
The addition of Dr. Cutler and the return of Dr. Johnson to our staff, realizes a significant expansion of services to give you more options in which to manage your patients through state-of-the-art care and procedures. We believe in using advanced technology to provide rapid, accurate diagnoses to assure thorough, definitive treatment. Drs. Cutler and Johnson look forward to reestablishing their ties to this community. They will be involved with our local organizations and be available for direct visits to your practice to provide interactive learning sessions. We are grateful for your years of support and welcome the opportunity to meet directly with you, our referring veterinarians. Honoring our commitment to quality service and support, our team of doctors will continue to offer the widest array and most integrated set of services in the area. Please feel free to contact us anytime and keep a look out for future updates as we continue to expand our services to help you, your clients and their pets.
