Immediate Care for Life Threatening Condition
In the event your pet has a medical emergency please remain calm and call us immediately. We can give advice to help your pet before you arrive at our hospital.
As a 24-hour, 7 day a week, 365 days a year facility (including holidays), PBVS is specially equipped to care for your pet until discharge or transfer to your regular veterinary facility. In addition, our critical care doctors over see all internal medicine, emergency medical and postoperative/preoperative patients during “after hours”.
When you arrive at PBVS hospital you will be met at the door by a triage nurse who will ensure that your pet is handled carefully and promptly. Patients with life-threatening conditions will be attended to before others and may be taken directly into the treatment room for immediate care. Pets sustaining major trauma, (falls, vehicular trauma), poisonings, seizures, having respiratory difficulty or choking/gagging/salivating and other conditions may need immediate assessment and emergency care. If you believe your pet may have been poisoned or ate something that is potentially toxic it is helpful if you bring the product or container with you.
