Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists (PBVS) is the first specialty referral hospital of its type serving the southeast region
of Florida.

PBVS hospital is located in Palm Beach county, and services the entire south Florida community including, Broward, Martin, St. Lucie, Monroe, Miami/Dade, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. Out of area and out of state cases are also welcome, please contact us for any questions regarding your referrals.

We offer specialty services in surgery, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, and emergency/critical care.

PBVS also provides emergency / critical care, specialty and supportive treatment to the local veterinary community.

Surgery

Orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, oncology, general surgery, arthroscopy, thoracoscopy, and laparoscopy.

Emergency & Critical Care

Critical care management, multi-trauma patients and emergency treatment of epilepticus. Nutritional support – placement of nasogastric, PEG and jejunostomy feeding tubes for total and partial nutrition. Oxygen therapy and respiratory support – intranasal or oxygen chamber delivery ventilator. Treatment and surgery for GDV. Endoscope retrieval of foreign bodies. Blood gas evaluation, continuous rate infusions, pain management and poisonings.

Internal Medicine

Diagnosis and treatment of all medical disorders, endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, intensive care support and enteral nutrition.
Transfusion medicine – typing and cross matching, blood component therapy.

Neurology

Diagnosis and Specialty Care for patients with diseases of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and electrodiagnostics.

Oncology

Diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant tumors of all major body systems.

Ophthalmology

Diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of diseases of the eye. Treatment for any eye condition requiring specialized ophthalmic treatment or surgery.

Cardiology

Diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired cardiac cases, echocardiography and electrocardiography.

Radiology

Interpretive diagnosis through radiographic images for surgery, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, and cardiology.
